Tension amplifiers: signal measurement or power drive?
Choose according to what connects to the amplifier: a tension sensor, or a brake/clutch control command.
Sensor Signal → PLC / Display
Tension signal amplifiers
Amplify weak tension-sensor signals into a standard output for PLC acquisition or tension display. Use this category on the measurement side of the system.
KTC820B and KTC820D work with LX series sensors and provide 0–10V or 4–20mA output. Both provide measured-tension display and Modbus RTU communication.
Choosing B or D? Compare the installation drawing and terminal wiring for your cabinet, then confirm sensor excitation, signal range and the receiving input.
Control Command → Brake / Clutch
Tension power amplifiers
Turn an external control command into the power output needed to drive a magnetic powder brake or clutch. Use this category on the actuation side of the system.
PAU-4A / PAU-4B accept an external 0–10V command and provide 0–24V output, up to 4A. Confirm the load rating and required supply against the selected unit.

Check the brake or clutch voltage and current, the command source and cabinet installation space before selecting the amplifier.
Match both sides of the connection
Input and supply
Share the sensor or command-source model, signal type and supply/excitation requirements. A sensor output and a control command serve different purposes.
Output and receiving equipment
Confirm the PLC/display input for signal measurement, or the brake/clutch load for power drive. Include wiring diagrams or existing model numbers when available.
