AT-X8 automatic tension controller

Product Introduction

AT-X8 is a fully digital automatic tension controller that forms a PI closed-loop control system with tension sensors. It supports unwind and rewind applications for film, foil, precision wire, nonwoven materials, printing and rewinding lines. Configurable analog outputs connect to inverter or servo-drive control inputs, while dedicated magnetic-powder outputs control clutches or brakes. Taper tension, A/B-axis switching and RS485 Modbus RTU support integration into roll-to-roll equipment.

Keep signal wiring away from mains and motor-power wiring. Never connect mains voltage to signal terminals. Confirm relay-contact voltage and current ratings before electrical connection.

AT-X8 quick answers

Which feedback signals does AT-X8 accept?

AT-X8 accepts two tension-sensor channels with 20mV or 200mV signals. The left channel, right channel or their sum can be selected, with zero and full-scale calibration.

How does AT-X8 support taper tension and roll changes?

AT-X8 provides an adjustable taper coefficient and roll-diameter acquisition by thickness accumulation, speed ratio or an external sensor. A/B axes support switching or synchronized output, with configurable pre-drive and switching timing.

Can AT-X8 communicate with a PLC?

AT-X8 provides RS485 Modbus RTU as a slave, with selectable 4800, 9600 or 19200bps and no or even parity. Match the configured device address and register mapping before integration.
